Here goes ....

I've never blogged before, but I wanted to make a place where our whole family can get to know each other and post whatever they would like to share. Mom (Aunt LaVona or "Jeanne" or "Grandma Jeanne") located our Aunt Nancy's email and after many years we are able to get back in touch and to know her family. As everyone gets in touch I will add their email addresses to the list of "authors" on this blog so they can post, upload photos, and whatever they like. I have copied and pasted our first emails below for anyone who has missed them. Also, since this blog belongs to us all, feel free to suggest changes or new ideas as we go along. Love you all - and can't wait to get to know you all better!! patti

EMAILS - start at the bottom and read up to get them in order - LOL!!!

Hi Aunt Nancy!!
Mom forwarded us your email. It was so nice to get caught up. We seem to have lost track of so many people over the years and I'm glad we found you guys again.
We are all doing really well - with all life's detours taken into consideration! I hope Mark's wife is doing okay and please send our best wishes to her. April will be my 10 year anniversary as a breast cancer survivor. I was very lucky and only needed a lumpectomy and radiation as mine was caught very early.
April is also Lynn's 30th anniversary of being diagnosed with diabetes. She has managed her diabetes so wonderfully and takes such good care of herself that she is just an inspiration! She is a manager in the Information Systems department of our county community college. Her husband, Ken, is a sweetheart and takes very good care of her. I'm sure you'd like him - he has such a sense of humor and is a talented musician.
As for Dana, she's a dynamo. She has run the towing business on her own since she and her first husband split over 15 years ago and made quite a success of it. She's proudest of her kids, though, as every mom is. They are great boys (I guess I should say men at this point!), with lovely wives and cute kids that are fun to spoil. Dana and Lynn's husbands get along great. They have the same sense of humor and we joke that it's a good thing they live on different coasts or we'd all be in trouble. Ray and Dana are having a great time empty nesting, but like the kids to come home often.
As Mom said, she is living with Dana in Marysville, Washington, which is about an hour north of Seattle. She has her own little living area and is mostly independent. She did have to stop driving recently and it was very hard for her to give up that freedom. She does enjoy doing the psychic fair thing. It gives her an outlet to talk to people and she's always been good at telling stories. She's also very lucky to have a big extended family. Dana has remained close friends with her ex-husband's sister and all her boys' cousins, so she has help taking Mom places and keeping her involved in things.
It sounds like your crew has lovely families as well. I'll get together some pictures when I'm home and send them. I know we'd enjoy seeing any photos you might have. Say hello to everyone for us and if you have Aunt Barbara's email, I'd love to drop them a note, too.
Hugs to all, love, patti

I am not sure if I have the right person. Are you the sister to Larry Maley? I am trying to locate his sister so that I can let our daughters know about his family. I don't know if he contacted anyone after we came back from Iran. P:EASE let me know if you are that Nancy and if I can give your info to my daughters. Thanks
